Who's Your Mama?: To Serve With Love

Being an Island girl from Miami it is an impossibility to not have the utmost respect & admiration for one of the greatest talents of all time, the incomparable Mr. Sidney Poitier. I owe everything to this Man. He is the reason I fell in love with film & acting in the first place.

When I first started my catering company it was originally called To Serve With Love, a play on one of my favorite films & after his most memorable performance from "To Sir With Love". Every now & then I get a little bummed this is no longer the name of my company how else can I show my appreciation for what this Man has done & the road he paved for me? Imagine my amazement when I walked into Tuesday Morning on 10/01/09 & found this gorgeous, gorgeous cocoa GOD for $44.99.... please join me in welcoming the newest addition to my family my Espresso Le Creuset covered baker Mr. Sidney Poitier. Now I get to continue to SERVE with LOVE!

This is going to look so lovely next to my Pink LC's

AAAAAAAANNNNNNNNN-D! my pink & chocolate brown polka dot teapot & coffee cups.... I smell a Brunch coming!

Stay tuned because any day now I will introduce you to a VERY rare sexpot I have named Dame Elizabeth Taylor.... *swoooooooooooon*

I PROMISE as soon as I get my elusive 1958 Raymond Loewy 5 qt Coquelle in pink I'm naming Princess Grace... I'm DONE *she crosses fingers behind her back*

Who's Your Mama?: So many men so little time! Yes I am a whore

A shopping whore & apparently have appeased my Pink obsession (until I find my Pink Loewy) & become a Perriwinkle whore!  I just bought these today... for $30!!! My Rat Pack came in 2 days early & I got to cook with them last night... SO HAPPY! Now... look, I know I said earlier I need only 2 more pieces, Brando & Princess Grace & then "I'm DONE"... right!

Weeeeeeellllllllllllll these were such a FANTASTIC deal I couldn't pass up. So gone is my original wish of a vintage chicken fryer or skillet/saucepan combo & hello lovers to 2 of my favorite men of all time... Marlon Brando & James Dean.

These are made by Cousances which is a French Enamelware Company that Le Creuset acquired some years back & most LC pieces are made in the Cousances factory anyway.  I reading on messageboards the battles between people on what's better LC or Cousances?

So far Cousances has a slight lead so I said screw it I need one to try for myself & I scored 2. My favorite part is they are Perriwinkle & match my Rat Pack perfectly so instead of getting the one skillet/saucepan combo... I get 2 combos!

My Rat Pack skillets can double as lids to my Debonaire Duo *swoon* my Vegas boys work so hard & I can't WAIT to put Brando & James to work as well, oh the double boiling madness to be had... hahahaha. I might never leave the house again! Why does great deals & loading my house with more crap I can't afford nor have the room for make me so happy?

I bid $80 on this & didn't win! Thank 6lb 10oz Baby Jesus! I got 5 whole pieces for $90 instead!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Who's Your Mama?: The Rat Pack

Just bought these last night & I'm SO stoked ! In 4-5 business days, to be exact, I will be welcoming to my collection my new "Rat Pack" of skillets... Frankie, Dean & Sammy. I got all three for 60 SMACKEROOS!!! Dear God I'm really good at this. Looks like my boy's line of Le Creuset is quickly catching up with my Dames.

I'm still looking for my elusive 4.5 Pink Loewy I will name Princess Grace & either a fryer or double skillet/sauce pan combo in blue that I am naming Brando & that's IT!!! I'm done... unless those Supremes come back.. .damn.

My neighbor Leyna moved & gave me her display rack, so as soon as my boys get here I will take another photo of my whole star studded cast including my blue Staub Tagine Valentino (inspired by his role in The Sheik *swoon*) I have yet to show them all off on their new display.

Who's Your Mama?: It's Oysters... bitch!

I went to see Britney Spears last minute on Sunday with my 305 Bestie Michele. She had an extra ticket she got that day! She's a PHENOMENAL dancer, she danced for Justin for YEARS here she is, the one with the bob that gets to dance with him & gets her stockings ripped off by him... dam *swoon*:

We went to dinner before the show & 2 Miami girls near a seafood spot means 2 things Vodka & OYSTERS!!!! We killed it, I almost didn't want to go to the show I needed a nap, like Britney did on stage

It was a wrap!

Well not really, decided to splurge & get the Cold Seafood Platter... yum, except for the fact the promised us Stone Crabs but ended up giving us Alaskans... oh well

And now on to the show! The access & where we were was SICK!
Backstage... under-aged

Word on the streets is that apparently Brit's "Little Man" is a PORN STAR! His Circus themed Porno is slated to be released in the Fall... nice. Oh Brit, you really know how to pick them.

Michele & I having a moment remembering our Angel & former Britney dancer Gabriel that pased away last year...

Who's Yo Mama: Breaking in the Waffle Maker

After all that spice, Lulu & I needed something Sugary & Nice. We decided to bust out the new Hello Kitty Waffle Maker. I used whole wheat flour, egg whites, brown sugar, butter, almond extract & RICE MILK! SO flipping FANTASTIC! These were my first waffles. I am never scared of making an impromptu recipe. I used measurements for flour, egg & sugar from a Williams Sonoma Casual Entertaining Cookbook but modified everything to my specific taste & what I had available. I didn't have whole milk but rice milk, didn't have enriched flour, just whole wheat. I added almond & vanilla extracts & I must say this is a KEEPER! Next time I will swap brown sugar for agave & butter for Smart Start & these will be completely GUILT FREE... Lulu & I almost died right then & there!

Batter UP!

Kitty & friends
